Welcome!
I am Félix Garnier, a PhD student in Ecological Economics at the Bordeaux School of Economics (University of Bordeaux, France).
My research focuses on post-growth approaches to Development, and tries to help answer the question “How do we provide a good life for all while ensuring environmental sustainability?” (CV here).
To do so I mobilise various theoretical frameworks, such as ecological economics, degrowth or post-development theory. I also use different methods, like lexicometry and discourse analysis, econometrics, and system dynamics.
I chose this field of research to align my work with my personal beliefs and values: Justice, Equity and Environmental sustainability.
However, I don’t think research is enough on its own. That’s why I am also engaged in the International Degrowth Network, in the editorial board of the journal Mondes en décroissance, or doing some popularisation bits with the associative radio La Clé des Ondes (more info here).
